Sumario:This article analyzes a specific sector of the Argentine new left of the 1960s and 1970s made up of the armed organizations of the Peronist and non-Peronist left. First, a state of the art about the new left is made, registering the place given to the armed experiences in the different interpretations and concluding with a proposal for the delimitation of the field. Then, the development of the new armed left is analyzed: its main characteristics are delimited, a specific periodization is proposed, and its growing incidence towards the 1970s is analyzed, at which time it displayed a repertoire of political action that included armed actions, political intervention and popular mobilization. The work is based on the bibliography of the subject and on written and oral sources of the organizations studied themselves.
