| Sumario: | This article sets out to provide a general overview of the historical, political and editorial conditions in which the works of the French philosopher Louis Althusser circulated in the aftermath of the Franco dictatorship, paying special attention to the readings that were made of them from the academic field and, fundamentally, from literary studies. This is a subject that has been insufficiently addressed so far and which overlooks one of the main contributions to contemporary literary theory, Juan Carlos Rodríguez’s study of early Spanish and European bourgeois literatures. To do so, we will use some of the tools provided by the Bourdieusian-inspired sociology of intellectuals. |
