These underlying texts get new meaning in accordance with the main thematic lines of Gambaro's play. The spectator is thus faced with the horror of the exerted and tolerated violence. Este trabajo explora las relaciones que Antígona Furiosa de Griselda Gambaro guarda con el texto de Sófocles y con otros textos como Odisea, Hamlet, La Peste, etc. Las múltiples conexiones que AF establece con variados textos afloran mediante traducciones, citas, alusiones o sugestiones, entretejidas con pasajes originales. Esos hipotextos resultan resemantizados en función de las líneas de fuerza del texto gambarino: abuso de poder, crueldad, victimización, sumisión. Con ello Gambaro coloca al espectador frente al horror de la violencia ejercida y tolerada.
