Sumario:This paper proposes to spatially analyze the effects of extractivism and financialization on the banks of the Paraná river. Taking two coastal sections of the Metropolitan Area of Rosario (Santa Fe) -Puerto Norte in the central coast and the north coast- the article displays an ethnographic, sociological and spatial analysis that accounts for material and symbolic appropriations of both segments. It aims to analyze the resemantization of these port-coastal interfaces with the arrival of big financial capitals, the State’s role in that landing and the socio-spatial consequences they dragged. Dismantling the rural-urban, reprimarization-outsourcing, territory-flow binaries, the article analyzes articulations and specificities of both fragments.
