Sumario:The multiple codes that intervene in a musical composition show the complexity of this unique cultural practice due to its symbolic capacity to create plot lines that provide elements for the construction of identities. Throughout his extensive career, the Paraná composer Jorge Mockert has manifested a sense of belonging, that “saying from a place” that is reflected in his work. The Cantata Hijos de la Tierra constitutes a pertinent case study to analyze the creative resources that are used from musical composition to link music with the texts and poems of Gabriel Moguilner, representing an identity aesthetic experience.
