For this it will be necessaryto analyze the interference in the group of the policies adopted by the governments ofArgentina and Italy. Likewise, the decision of the leaders to put aside the politicaldifferences of the past was a determining factor in achieving unity. A comparative studywas carried out of the main associations linked to the General Federation of ItalianAssociations of Argentina (FEDITALIA) and the ethnic press, with the aim ofunderstanding the ideological positioning of their leaders and the role they played in the"pacification" process. Este artículo analiza el proceso de reunificación de la comunidad italiana de Buenos Aires durante la segunda posguerra, a partir de la división entre aquellos dirigentes que apoyaron al régimen fascista y quienes se opusieron. Para esto será necesario analizar la injerencia en el grupo de las políticas adoptadas por los gobiernos de Argentina e Italia. Asimismo, la decisión de los dirigentes de dejar de lado las diferencias políticas del pasado reciente fue determinante para conseguir la unidad. Para llevar adelante este trabajo se realizó un estudio comparativo de las principales asociaciones vinculadas a la Federación General de Asociaciones Italianas de Argentina (FEDITALIA) y los periódicos comunitarios, con el objetivo de comprender qué posicionamiento ideológico tenían sus dirigentes y qué rol desempeñaron en el proceso de “pacificación”.
