Sumario:The aim of this article is to analyse a corpus of Historias de la Argentina secreta episodes from the 1984-1993 period. The documentary series was broadcast weekly by Argentina Televisora Color (ATC, Channel 7) and consisted in the presentation of the problems of inhabitants, institutions and social groups from different places in Argentina. Through regular use of testimonies from protagonists, amalgamated by the narrator's voice-over, different ways of life and daily struggles were presented as a representation of places, contexts and popular cultures. Social issues, environmental problems and the situation of indigenous populations were three areas of thematic development of the series documentary. In addition to investigating the narrative continuity of the series, this article will analyse the aesthetic particularities and the social work of the programme, beyond what is strictly television-related, which was produced and hosted by Otelo Borroni and Roberto Vacca.
