Sumario:The article is part of the research project Aprendizajes en Ciencias Sociales e Historia y cultura contemporánea: estudiantes de nivel primario, secundario y de la formación del profesorado en Neuquén y Río Negro (2021-2024). A specific objective of the project is to link the dimensions of social and historical learning and contemporary culture. In order to fulfil this objective, information has been obtained from bibliographic and documentary analysis; surveys and in-depth interviews with students at primary, secondary and university levels, and with teachers at these levels, focusing on themes, problems and methodologies for approaching aspects of contemporary culture. In this instance we present a documentary analysis of the journal Reseñas de Enseñanza de la Historia, which has been published for 20 years, in order to analyse those aspects of contemporary culture that permeate in different ways the classrooms of social sciences and history.
