Sumario:The current university internationalization results from the conjunction between the effects of globalization on educational services and the catalyst imposed by the health crisis. The advantages of instant and omnichannel communication in the expansion of the academical Exchange is a past circumstance.  In the health restrictions imposed to education they supported the massive canalization of alternative to physical activities. The international proximity has turned into reference. This represents an enormous opportunity to achieve an international university policy in the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia San Juan Bosco  UNPSJB. This university is placed into the institutional environment of an economic region challenged by the energetical transition and the biotechnological applications to food production that threats its historical developing pattern. Deploying it requires academic leadership capable of transcending an organizational culture focused on self-reproduction and linking its teaching, research and extension activities to the future possibilities of the region. This is feasible by institutionalizing the appropriation of research results, transfers and productions in an intellectual property regime that encourages the exploration and development of academic and research opportunities. In these terms, the implementation of an international policy is ideal to promote the quality of academic activities and their social contribution, even aligning them with the founding mission of UNPSJB. It is suggested to integrate the initiative into the activities of the PDI Institutional Development Program, starting with the establishment of its tactical objectives.
