Sumario:This paper aims to discuss some problems and challenges of the continued education in the tables of social change in which they operate changes in education and teacher's work in Brazil in the XXI century. As a permanent process of learning, the training develops in everyday experience, in different educational times and spaces. The school practices require from History teachers much more thanthe discipline specific knowledge acquired in university education, but the articulation of different skills in the educational process. The continued education of teachers should respond to the demands, the social phenomena of our time, which represents a major challenge for educators and training institutions in Brazil.
