One of the paramount ideas of the article is that the Annales School has marked several generations, and that Braudelian history has for many years set the tone of a great part of the historiography that we have been using in our trajectory through academic training. Taking all these factors into account and using Kant's essay on the beautiful and sublime, I propose a journey through the repercussions that different historical schools have on my teaching. As well as there are "other" ways of making history, I think there also are other ways of teaching history. Abrief voyage through several current historical schools will reveal different class experiences which point to show the possibility of moving from the sublime to the beautiful. Este artículo reflexiona sobre la enseñanza de la historia enfatizando especialmente en el peso de la formación académica al pensar el proyecto para un curso y más aún a la hora de optar por el tipo de historia a enseñar. Una de las ideas fuertes del artículo es que la historia de los Annales marcó a varias generaciones y la historia braudeliana ha pautado durante muchos años gran parte de la historiografía que hemos utilizado en nuestro trayecto de formación académica. Tomando estos factores y utilizando como motor el ensayo de Kant sobre lo bello y lo sublime propongo un recorrido sobre la repercusión que tienen en mi manera de enseñar historia diferentes corrientes historiográficas. Así como hay otras “formas de hacer historia” creo posible otras formas de enseñar historia.Un breve recorrido sobre las corrientes historiográficas más actuales mostrará diferentes experiencias de clase que dan cuenta de cómo es posible pasar de lo sublime a lo bello.
