| Sumario: | The formation of the psychopedagogist at the University of Las Tunas constitutes a priority of the National System of Higher Education, given the current need of this professional to face and contribute to the educational and social changes that Cuba is experiencing in the present century. In the aforementioned direction, the article shows a chronological selection of the main moments of the development of the initial formation of Cuban psychopedagogist, with emphasis on Las Tunas psychopedagogist, as well as an approach to the Study Plan E (2016) for their initial formation. For this purpose, scientific methods of the theoretical level were applied: historical and logical, analysis and synthesis and induction and deduction, contributed to determine the background and evolution of the Psychopedagogy career in Cuba and Las Tunas, as well as the application of different study plans, especially the Study Plan E (2016) and its characterization in terms of academic and formative aspects. As a scientific method of the empirical level: the documentary review, made possible the reception of information. It was found that the psychopedagogist in initial formation is prepared at the University of Las Tunas to perform functions related to guidance, research, teaching and counseling, similar to those of other psychopedagogist in other contexts. Its antecedents as a career date back to the last century and in other geographic territories in Cuba. Hence, the career at the University of Las Tunas began in the present century, specifically in 2008. At present, Study Plan E (2016) is being applied. |
