| Sumario: | This paper develops a critique of the category "regime of accumulation" -RA- as presented in Eduardo Basualdo's analysis of the profound transformations that took place in Argentina during the last quarter of the last century. Although the powerful interpretation of this perspective has sought to re-link "the economic" and "the political" within the socio-historical analysis, this work maintains that the way in which the constitutive variables of the category - economic structure, dominant social block, hegemony, class struggle and State - are articulated in its operationalization evidences a set of problems that end up contradicting the assumption of unity: the economy or politics appear, one or the other as a determining instance of the historical phenomena analyzed. |
