To do this, the unintended consequences of the rationalization process in the modern West are first outlined. Then the central aspects of his ideal of a free and rational ethical life are presented, contrasting it with a heteronomous and irrational way of conducting existence. Finally, an attempt is made to specify the place of the tragic in this conception. |
