Abstract The article analyzes the implementation of a public employment policy in the Employment Office of San Carlos de Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina. On the basis of the theoretical and methodological contributions of the anthropological discipline, the objective is to analyze that policy from an interpretive point of view that focuses on the beliefs and rationalities that provide support and legitimation. Likewise, the analysis covers the logics and frameworks of power that it embodies, the actors involved and, finally, the effects it produces. Starting from the unveiling of the production of un-employability as one of effects, the article invites us to a deep revision of the logics and practices that, from the perspective of an inclusive rhetoric, finally update and reproduce old inequalities. |
