Sumario:In this work, we read in some texts of Pedro Henríquez Ureña and Jose Vasconcelos reflections about the place of the book and the reading of a process of social transformation, that includes the period of the Athenian of Youth, in the emergency of the Mexican Revolution, until the years in which one of those young people of the Athenian, Vasconcelos, occupies one of the most important spaces, the one of the Secretariat of Public Education, and takes with himself several of its companions of route, among them, Henríquez Ureña. Those reflections become rich when we recovered several of the fundamental actions that they decide to carry out in the educative scope.
