Sumario:This paper describes the development of a conflict for relocations in a popular neighborhood in La Plata, motivated by the implementation of a hydraulic infrastructure public work. Based on an ethnographic fieldwork carried out between 2013 and 2016, it replenishes the dynamic of this conflict, its emergence, development and dilution, as well as the intervention of the different actors involved and some of the criteria and arguments brought into play in this process. On this basis, the paper aims to show the complexity of the modalities of management and intervention of the State in the territory and contribute to the reflection on daily politics and processes of collective action in popular neighborhoods.
