Sumario:The taxonomic and biogeographical status of Liolaemus bibroni (Bell), a Patagonian lizard from Argentina, is analyzed and discussed. In accordance with its morphological affinities with the Chilean form Liolaemus fuscus, the necessity of a comparative wide checking of both forms is pointed out. A general screening of the populations of Liolaemus boulengeri Koslowsky between Mendoza and Santa Cruz Provinces is carried out, paying attention to the geographical variation and the remarkable sex dimorphism of the species. Serological tests support the antigenic homogeneity of polymorphic or separated populations of Liolaemus boulengeri, in spite of its widespread distribution or geographical distance.
