| Sumario: | The measurements of <math><mtext>R</mtext><msub><mi></mi><mn><mtext>b</mtext></mn></msub><mtext>=σ(</mtext><mtext>e</mtext><msup><mi></mi><mn>+</mn></msup><mtext>e</mtext><msup><mi></mi><mn>−</mn></msup><mtext>→</mtext><mtext>b</mtext><mtext>b</mtext><mtext>̄</mtext><mtext>)/σ(</mtext><mtext>e</mtext><msup><mi></mi><mn>+</mn></msup><mtext>e</mtext><msup><mi></mi><mn>−</mn></msup><mtext>→</mtext><mtext>q</mtext><mtext>q</mtext><mtext>̄</mtext><mtext>)</mtext></math> and of the b quark forward–backward charge asymmetry, Abfb, at centre-of-mass energies above the Z pole are described. The measurement of Rb is performed at 's between 130 and 189 GeV using a b-tagging method that exploits the relatively large decay length of b-hadrons. The measurement of Ab is fb performed using the large statistics event sample collected at 's s189 GeV with a lepton-tag analysis based on the selection ' b of prompt muons and electrons. The results at s =189 GeV are <math><mtext>R</mtext><msub><mi></mi><mn><mtext>b</mtext></mn></msub><mtext>=0.163±0.013</mtext><mspace sp="0.3" width="2px" linebreak="nobreak" is="true"></mspace><mtext>(stat.)</mtext><mtext>±0.005</mtext><mspace sp="0.3" width="2px" linebreak="nobreak" is="true"></mspace><mtext>(syst.)</mtext></math>, <math><mtext>A</mtext><msub><mi></mi><mn><mtext>fb</mtext></mn></msub><msup><mi></mi><mn><mtext>b</mtext></mn></msup><mtext>=0.61±0.18</mtext><mspace sp="0.3" width="2px" linebreak="nobreak" is="true"></mspace><mtext>(stat.)</mtext><mtext>±0.09</mtext><mspace sp="0.3" width="2px" linebreak="nobreak" is="true"></mspace><mtext>(syst.)</mtext></math> |
