Sumario:The direction of photography of an audiovisual product is the result of the modes of production from a place, its aesthetics, narrative styles, and representations. The pedagogy of the discipline must be concerned with the context where productions are made. Who are the students? What are their aesthetic interests? From what position do they construct the cinematographic image? A good method to answer these questions consists in analyzing the local productions of graduate students from the institution. This article analyzes the possibility, but also the necessity, the use of local independent production as pedagogical examples in Audiovisual Arts classrooms.
