La familia <i>Stromateidae</i> en la Argentina (<i>Osteichteys, Stromateoidei</i>)
A brief synthesis of the systematics of argentine Stromateidae is given together with a general key and morphological and estadístical data based on numerous specimens. The southern limit of the range of Peprilus paru is discussed.
