Sumario:The project proposes the design and construction of a blanket on a pilot basis to contribute to the conservation of the properties of the slopes built mainly to facilitate the adaptation of the stretches of roadways, particular case Tunja- Duitama (corresponding to the concession BTS (Briceño-Tunja-Sogamoso)). Landslides are one of the most destructive geological deficiencies affecting not only the environment but also to humans, causing deaths and damage to public and private properties. 90% Of the losses by landslides are avoidable if the problem is identified beforehand and take measures of prevention or control. The deterioration over time can result in the need for maintenance or construction of stabilization. Deterioration, however, is given little attention in the design stage and the emphasis turns to avoid deep faults, rather than to avoid the above phenomena to the fault. Contrary to earlier this investigation was developed by integrating areas such as agricultural production, road construction and design, through environmental and biosystems approach seen in the academy. We developed a biodegradable blanket that contributed to the conservation of these slopes by study and evaluation of different materials and agricultural residues have been given only secondary use as animal feed or as fertilizer, lost opportunities of application of these residues in the creation of new materials and / or products.
