Sumario:The recent years had disclose many issues related to network management. Most of them concerning about technical questions. This work discusses the possibilities of using a Network Management System (NMS) as an integrated environment for capacity planning. We give an overview of NMS and its relevance to the capacity planning tasks. We also take a look at the current NMS and their suitability for the capacity planning task.
