| Sumario: | Recently, the interest in the use of ontologies —which can be seen as an explicit, formal specification of a shared conceptualization of a domain of interest— has increased, as they are becoming an integral part of many industrial and academic applications. We describe the Ontology Evolution Process as a framework to understand the problems that emanate from management of ontologies evolution. We present some considerations about the compatibility among evolving ontologies and related approaches. |
