Sumario:The author describes the method of procedure of Prof. Fortunato Quesada the Faculty de Medicine of Lima (Peru) and presents his personal experience in 23 cases. The method could be summed up saying: the knife and plaster form partners without the application of any foreign prothesis. It is applied in fractures of the diaphysis which have not been able to be corrected by habitual maneuvers of manual reduction. The writer has extended its application, besides, those indicated by the author the method, tho epiphyseal fractures with brilliant results. The author says "my personal experience permits me to add to the original work, the foliowig points: 1°: The previous esterilization of the plaster which is placed over the member and then a careful asepsis of the same. 2: In indication of the procedure which i extend to the epiphyseal fracture and also to the surgical neck of the humerus, for which this method has its formal indication and not replaceacle, as already, this fracture is not a tributary of osteosynthesis because of the impossibility of placing the plate and next the aeroplane traction having been failed.
