| Sumario: | The authors present a series of 26 cases of osteomyelitis operated from 1930 to 1935, in the ward of the professorship; the observation of which induces them to prefer the proceedment of Orr, or closed cavity (opening and closing by plugging of the focus by ganze impregnated with vaseline, so obstructing the osseus opening).
The authors point out the similarity of this procedure to the «treatment by closed cavity» that has been preconized years ago by the learned Dr. Méndez for other infectious diseases, which gave place to ardent and passionate polemics. |
