Sumario:A semi-analytic model to adjust the profile of the halo light of NGC 1399 was constructed. A comparison with the images in which halo light was subtracted using median filtering allows us to verify the following advantages: a) A semi-analytic model permits us to remove the halo light even very close to the center, where the luminosity gradient is very strong. b) The "bleeding" do not cause any problem and can be further subtracted. c) The extended sources are not distorted and aperture photometry on it is feasible.
