Sumario:It was studied the precision of visual photometry comparing 2000 visual observations of SN1987A - a number which permits an statistical analysis - with photoelectric V band obtained at the most important observatories of the world. Differences between visual and photoelectric observations are close to 0.05 magnitudes, this demonstrates the usefulness of visual photometry in programs of scientific interest.
