Sumario:θ² Crucis, considered a single-lined binary, was observed with the Cassegrain spectrograph attached to the 2.15 m telescope of CASLEO (San Juan, Argentina). The observations were obtained during 1988-1990 with a dispersion of 58 Å mm⁻¹ in the red region. This report presents, for the first time, preliminary results of the Hα region. The absorption line of Hα shows evidence of the secondary star. The orbital elements and the mass ratio are given.
