| Sumario: | A software package for image processing in interactive form has been developed in the Digital Micro Vax II system. It was used to make a detailed photometric and morphological analysis of 9 early-type galaxies, 5 elliptical and 4 S0. The processed images were obtained by a Hilget-Watts modified microdensitometer, which allows automatic digitization of photographic plats. Radial profiles have been derived for surface brightness, ellipticity, position angle and the residuals from the fitted ellipses described by cos(nΦ) and sin (nΦ) terms, where n=3,4. |
