A model for the A2 III3 star with magnetic field: HD 190073

Since the star has a detected magnetic field of about 200 gauss and is observed pole-on, we integrate a velocity law on the basis of theoretical models by Low and Tsinganos. Sumario:Since the star has a detected magnetic field of about 200 gauss and is observed pole-on, we integrate a velocity law on the basis of theoretical models by Low and Tsinganos. We applied the resulting density distribution to determine the IR free-free radiation (through a model by Lamers and Waters) and the continuous absorption. We found that we can explain the IR excess radiation and the discontinuity at λ∼2600.
