Sumario:An old Hilger-Watts Scanning Microdensitometer was modernized, having changed its thermionic electronics by solid state circuits and modifying its mechanical parts. The microdensitometer hsa now the possibility of automatic bidimensional scan. Data are digitized in 8 bits of resolution and stored in floppy disk. The system is controlled with an Apple II Plus computer. We describe the technical aspects and we show some results.
