| Sumario: | Building the habit of critical thinking within the boundaries of public education poses a big challenge to educators. In this paper we intend to focus our analysis on the sketch, an instrument that serves as the basis for questioning and reasoning about the notion of space. It is a fact that we resort to stereotypes to draw or describe something. That is, knowledge about something blurs us to see things the way they truly are. The role of educators is, therefore, to guide students so that they avoid building a final sketch by leaving behind the personal quest and exploration that it implies. |
