| Sumario: | The interaction between the VO2+ cation and a number of nucleotides has been investigated by means of 31P NM R and IR measurements in solutions. Preliminary results obtained from IR spectra of som e solid vanadyl/nucleotide compounds suggest a greater com plexity of the metal-to ligand interaction in the solid state. |
