Sumario:The presence of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) in the child is a controversial issue. Some authors maintain their absence in children, although others have observed signs and symptoms of TMD in pediatric populations1. We believe that such disorders often go unnoticed by the lack of a thorough and thorough clinical examination that includes the study of TMJ as part of the stomatognathic system and as a routine review in the Pediatric Pediatric Clinic. In view of the repeated consultations that we received in the Children's Dentistry of the FOLP, the concern arose to deepen the subject, and we decided to carry out a research work called "Temporal mandibular dysfunctions and its relation with anxiety disorders in a child population." The general objective of this study was to determine the signs and symptoms of TMD and its relationship with the different levels of emotional disorders in a child population, with the purpose of providing information to Odontologists and Pediatric Dentists about the importance of performing a Correct clinical examination of the TMJ, to alert us about the possibility of TMD in children, while remaining attentive to the fears or different degrees of anxiety that children may develop and which contribute to aggravate or trigger the picture.
