Sumario:I. Rehabilitation of Alvaradoa subovata Cronquist (Simaroubaceae), the correct scientific name for (the "pichi blanco". H. Roupala cataractarum Sleurner is a synonym of Roupala brasiliensis Klotzch (Proteaceae). A brief account regarding the validated nomenclature, Roupala brasiliensis and Alvaradoa subovata, for both taxa is given. Pollen observations obtained from SEM, in order to complement the identifications, are also given.
