Etnobotánica y ecología de <i>Cladium jamaicense</i> Crantz en la Ciénaga de Zapata, Cuba
The role of Cladium jamaicense Crantz (Cyperaceoe) as a main element in swamp savannas of the Ciénaga de Zapata is discussed. Its importance as a pioneer species in the conservation, restoration and in the trophic pathways of these ecosystems is stressed.
