| Sumario: | Very few subjects have been as discussed by Marxists as the structure and method behind Capital. Capital certainly has deep structural problems, as the results produced in its analytical development apparently seem to contradict the premises at the starting point. This is most evident in the theoretical transition from Part I to Part II of Volume One. In this paper we will meticulously analyze the different versions that Marx wrote in his attempts to provide an explanation that would offer a transition. We will seek to demonstrate that Marx himself seems rather unclear on how to deal with this question and, furthermore, we argue that, contrary to general opinion, it is not possible to find in this passage any dialectical mechanism that might offer a real explanation for the structural problems of Capital. |
