Sumario:The objective of this work is making a brief study about how the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo made its coverage about Venezuela and the president Hugo Chávez during the years 2002-2005. In these sense, a research was made on the editorial and on the articles trying to show how Folha understand democracy, concept that is defended by the newspaper as the unique way of solving the problems in Venezuela, and realize the critic of the liberal democracy.
