| Sumario: | The purpose of this paper is to explore the politics of memory and the public uses of history in the context of the bicentennial of independence in Colombia. It proposes a double balance. On the one hand, the rituals: those celebrations and commemorative projects, both official and dissident, who were held to mark the 200 years of “independence” from Colombia. In the other hand, the documents: books, articles, documentaries and other intellectual and artistic production that has been addressed to reflect on the bicentennial celebrations in Colombia and Latin America. |
