| Sumario: | This article reports the words communication and minority and, from a bibliographic reference, criticizes the Brazilian press about the lack of participation of the citizens without training in Journalism in the news´s construction and in the production of media content, also talk about the coverage of the media about issues related to homeless. The work points to the street papers’s direction, in which people who belong to minority groups tend to have visibility.
