Sumario:The sequenced narration consists in a more emphatic role of TV reporter on the place where the scenes of an event happen. This journalistic report technique was widely used by television stations in the coverage of the earthquake that struck Haiti in January 2010. This paper analyses the reports produced according to this model for the newscast Jornal Nacional, the largest television newscast audience in Brazil, by the special envoys from Rede Globo to the country Lília Teles, Rodrigo Alvarez and cameraman Luiz Cláudio Azevedo. Our purpose is to draw a panorama containing the possibilities and limits of sequenced narration as a journalistic report technique.
