| Sumario: | This text offers reflections for the debate about Resolution 5443 of June 30th 2010 of the Ministerio de Educación Nacional and its conception of the profile of educators (in terms of basic and professional skills) and curriculum components (and its implications for the institutions in charge of teachers formation), as well as its effects on aspects such as the education suitable for indigenous peoples, and interculturality. This Resolution proves the existence of a “special pedagogical need” that has to do not just with the increasing precarious situation of the teaching profession (clearly visible in the Resolution itself) but also with the tendency to overshadow the professional and disciplinary field of studies on education and pedagogy.
