| Sumario: | The purpose of this article is to verify the presence of the look in the novel Bel-Ami by Guy de Maupassant and also to observe its relation to some aspects of the impressionist aesthetic such as, for example, the momentary, the points of view and the relativization. Taking these points into account, we tried to see how, through the look, the character Duroy makes his learning of the Parisian society and how his image is constructed from the perception of some characters. |
