Sumario:This article asserts that humanity is in front of one of its most terrible predicaments: either it is succumbing to the pressure and onslaught of an organized capitalist system that not only is predatory but also destructive of nature’s basic reproductive resources; or humanity is fighting back based on the lessons learned from social movements and organizations. The article also provides information on economic growth, inequality, concentration of income and wealth in the hands of a few corporations and billionaires, increased tactics of terror, massive intervention in the communication system, overt and covert operations and war. Also, it points out the degradation and threats to democracy, as well as how people from all walks of life have deployed their strength to prevent the world from sinking into barbarism.
