Sumario:First of all, this article proposes a synthesis of the main correlating explanations of Sergio Bagú’s Catastrophe Political and Social Theory, in which he establishes and analyzes the most significant events of this Century: war, fascism, socialism under the Soviet Empire and the US capitalism. Bagú’s approach stands particularly from the historic view, that is, an analysis of the great multitude, which is undoubtedly, one of the substantive contributions of his work. Finally, he brings back, in a historiographical way, the main arguments of the analysis, which are written in this text. Bagú believes the need to follow a critical analysis to build up a theoretical view of the world if we want to improve, in some way, the field of social sciences. He also feels that social sciences mystification and decline, not only have weakened our ability to analyze, but also have undermined our willingness to take action.
