Sumario:Rodrigo Gómez was a prominent actor in the economic history of the twentieth century of Mexico. Throught his intellectual and professional life, like as Director General del Banco de México (1952 a 1970), we has recovered historical experience and the principles of a central bank whose main propose was the development and welfare of the population, not only price stability. Historical knowledge that confronts our present, where the country has a central bank that is not attending development problems and growth, and its´ only concerning of price stability
