Sumario:This article deals with the territorial conflicts that arose from the development of wind energy in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec Oaxaca. This problem began in 1994 with the installation of the first wind power station in Latin America called "La Venta I" and nowadays continues deeper due to the arrival of more projects of the same type.The work was developed from the theoretic perspective of Political Sociology, guidance that discusses the process of transformation of the Mexican agrarian land structure in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, which became an energy development plan, purpose which provoked a confrontation between two groups of interest on the same territory: rural landowners and wind power companies. Who are the protagonists of this territorial transformation? What changes and remains in this historical process?These are some of the many questions that trying to answer. For the analysis of this complex process of "modernization" and change of energy policy was composed this text organized into three sections that try to encompass the most important aspects of the problem.
