Sumario:This article analyses Ulrich Beck proposal about the construction of a cosmopolitan methodological strategy, which should permeate theory and practice of social sciences in order to understand the exercise of political power in a context shaped by the globalization process. According to his thesis, the “cosmopolitan vision”, which should in turn usher contemporary political thinking, has been called to revitalize the old fashioned theoretical and methodological tools of social sciences.
