Sumario:The article reflects on the importance and centrality that has the electoral participation compared to other forms, particularly the inclusion of citizens in the democratization of “traditional” media. It offers a theoretical perspective about public space and communication space, where it is feasible to push for more civic media. The text presents an account of the instances ciudadanizadas (CNDH, IFE, IFAI) and participatory experiences arising from urban development planning. Proposed scales and levels of involvement of citizens from the query-evaluation, participation and the citizenship, contemplating the implementation of channels, figures and specific mechanisms.
